Campo Maior

Campo Maior is een klein wit stadje van ongeveer 10.000 inwoners. Het ligt vlakbij de Spaanse grens Badajoz 15 km en de mooie stad Elvas 20 km. In 1732 was er een explosie in het kasteel van Campo Maior in de munitie ruimte en ongeveer 2/3 van Campo Maior werd verwoest ook stierven er veel mensen. Ter herinnering aan die overledenen hebben ze hier de beroemde Capela dos Ossos (knokenkapel) gebouwd met de skeletten en botten van de doden. Campo Maior is bekend voor het bloemenfeest ("festa do Povo"') Echter Campo Maior heeft veel meer te bieden waar bijna niet in de boeken verteld wordt vandaar dit blog.


Campo Maior is a small white town with about 10.000 inhabitants. It lays near the Spanish border at the big city Badajoz about 15 km and the nice city Elvas 20 km. In 1732 there was an explosion in the munitionroom of the castle therefore 2/3 of Campo Maior was destroyed at a lot of people died. therefore to remember this people they made the famous boneschapel with the bones and the skelets of the peolple who died , there is also every 4 year the famous flowerfestival (festa do povo) but there is much more than in the books are written therefor this blog ......

Campo Maior est une petite ville blanche avec environ 10.000habitants. Il prévoit près de la frontière espagnole et la grande ville e environ 15 km de Badajoz et  de la charmante ville Elvas e de 20 km Campo Maior e seulement 1,5 km . En 1732, il y avait une explosion dans la munition du château donc la 2/3 de Campo Maior été détruits  avait beaucoup de personnes mortes. Se rappeler cette peuple qu'ils ont mortes dans la chapelle des ossos  célèbre avec les os et les skelets de la peuple , il ya aussi tous les 4 ans le festival des fleurs célèbre (festa do povo) mais il est beaucoup plus de voir que dans les livres sont écrits à cet effet ce blog.....
